  • 1. Where and when will this retreat take place?

    OCTOBER 17 - 19, 2025: Meet me at the Lake Studio on World Menopause Day Weekend for a luscious retreat. Lake Studio is located in a private community in Clinton, Ohio, just 10 minutes from Akron. You'll receive the exact address once you register.

  • 2. How can I take time away from my family or business and responsibilities for this?

    I get how hard it can be to take time away from your family. I've been there. The real question is what's the cost of not spending time nourishing yourself? How will that affect your family? And if you come home refreshed and renewed, how will that impact you and your family's health? Only you have the answer; I'll help you find it when we meet.

  • 3. What's the daily schedule for the retreat?

    We'll meet at these times (healthy bio breaks and daily, fresh-made local meals will be included): FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17: 2:00 - 8:00pm Eastern SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18: 10:00am - 8:00pm Eastern SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19: 10:00am - 2:00pm Eastern

  • 4. When can I arrive at the Retreat?

    The basic Retreat Investment for on-site lodging includes 3 nights + meals, either arriving Thursday evening and departing Sunday afternoon or arriving Friday noon and departing Monday morning. An additional night's lodging and meal pass can be purchased to arrive Thursday evening and depart Monday morning for 4 nights total lodging. Those who are using off-site lodging will be expected to arrive Friday afternoon and depart Sunday afternoon.

  • 5. What lodging is included or available?

    Lodging is available at the Lake Side Studio. Six single accommodations will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Off site lodgings, including local AirBnBs and hotels, are also available. It's highly recommended that if you reserve off-site facilities, you choose ones that are refundable. It's also highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance or protection.

  • 6. How close are the nearest airports?

    If you are flying to the retreat, two airports are nearby. Akron-Canton Regional Airport (CAK) is the nearest at 7.5 miles from the Lake Studio. Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is 54 miles away.

  • 7. Will transportation to and from the airport be provided?

    While transportation to and from the airport will not be provided, there are several car services available to rent. One could also hire a shuttle or inquire about Lyft and Uber in the area.

  • 8. What if I have food allergies or sensitivities?

    Every effort will be made to provide alternatives for those who have food allergies or sensitivities. A couple of weeks before the event, the retreat leader and hostess will put out a request for food allergies and intolerances. It will be the participant's responsibility to provide this information to the retreat leader.

  • 9. What will I need for the retreat weekend?

    You'll need... #1) a willingness to open your heart and be vulnerable (HINT: vulnerability is also your greatest strength). #2) a journal and pen. #3) equipment for a restorative yoga practice and gentle movement. NOTE: As soon as you register, you'll have access to a list of PROPS REQUIRED and a link where you can order any you need. Some equipment will be provided (see the section on what's included and what's NOT included with your retreat investment).

  • 10. What kind of Weather can I expect?

    Weather in Autumn in the Midwest can vary greatly. While the fall colors could be at their peak with typically chilly days and nights, warm weather could also spike. At the other end of the spectrum, we've even seen snow some years! Our best recommendation is to check the weather forecast just before you pack.

  • 11. What kind of clothes should I pack?

    Bring an assortment of clothes for all kinds of weather. Make sure to include comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch during yoga practice. Bring a swimsuit and towel for the hot tub. A pair of tennis shoes or hiking boots, as well as slip-on shoes will be ideal. And don't forget your raincoat or umbrella!
