Friday, June 12 - Sunday, June 14: Meet at Summer Camp in Bootjack, Michigan for this nourishing women's retreat. Bootjack is 30 minutes from Hancock in the heart of the Keweenaw and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. [WE ONLY HAVE 2 SPACES LEFT.]
I get how hard it can be to take time away from your family. I've been there. The real question is what's the cost of not spending time nourishing yourself? How will that affect your family? And if you come home refreshed and renewed, how will that impact you and your family's health? Only you have the answer; I'll help you find it when we meet.
FRIDAY, June 12th at 3pm EDT: check-in at Summer Camp begins *** SATURDAY, June 13th 10am EDT to SUNDAY, June 14th 12pm EDT: enjoy Summer Camp *** SUNDAY, June 14th at 12pm EDT: begin check-out from Summer Camp
Check-In begins at 3pm EDT on Friday, June 12th.
Lodging will be included at either Green Camp or Pastor-Taylor Camp. Three private rooms and three semi-private or shared rooms are available. The retreat can accommodate 8 women total.
If you are flying to the retreat, the nearest airport is Houghton County Memorial Airport (CMX). It's located about 30 minutes away from the retreat site.
Transportation to and from Houghton County Memorial Airport (CMX) can be arranged upon request.
Every effort will be made to provide alternatives for those who have food allergies or sensitivities. A couple of weeks before the event, the retreat leader and hostess will put out a request for food allergies and intolerances. It will be the participant's responsibility to provide this information to the retreat leader.
You'll need... #1) a willingness to open your heart and be vulnerable (HINT: vulnerability is also your greatest strength). #2) a journal and pen. #3) equipment for a restorative yoga practice and gentle movement. NOTE: As soon as you register, you'll have access to a list of PROPS REQUIRED and a link where you can order any you need. Some equipment will be provided (see the section on what's included and what's NOT included with your retreat investment).
Weather in the Keweenaw Peninsula can vary greatly in early June. While the early days of summer may bring some warm temps, it could also be windy, rainy, or buggy. Although we'll likely not have snow, be sure to bring layers. Our best recommendation is to check the weather forecast just before you pack and still prepare for anything!
Bring an assortment of clothes for all kinds of weather. Make sure to include comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch during yoga practice. Bring a swimsuit and towel in case it's nice enough to swim or we have access to a sauna. A pair of tennis shoes or hiking boots, as well as slip-on shoes will be ideal. And don't forget your raincoat or umbrella!
We will welcome up to 8 participants into Summer Camp. Due to the limited space and advanced reservation of accommodations, registrations are non-refundable if the participant cancels. Credits may be issued under extenuating circumstances and can be negotiated with your retreat leader. If the retreat leader needs to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances, full refunds will be issued.
